Losing Ground: Forced Evictions and Intimidation in Cambodia (2009)

‘Losing Ground’ is a report by the Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee on the official corruption and violence that ensures the country’s many land disputes (a legacy of the destruction of legal records under the Khmer Rouge) are resolved in favour of the powerful. It represents a tragic example of how what is on paper a reasonably just law can be subverted when justice and law enforcement are up for sale. The report can be read in full here.
