A history of mandatory detention in Australia
Dr Mike Grewcock addresses a public forum in Sydney, hosted by the Sydney Refugee Action Coalition, to mark the 25th anniversary of the mandatory detention policy.
Mike is a lecturer in criminology and criminal law at the Faculty of Law, University of New South Wales. Prior to obtaining a PhD at UNSW Mike worked as a solicitor in London for 13 years. His most recent book is Border Crimes: Australia’s War on Illicit Migrants.
