The Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers have for a number of months co-ordinated a series of meetings involving anti-racist campaigners; environmental activists; blacklisted builders; trade unionists and socialists who have been subject to undercover police operations.

A lot of the information came to light following the publication of  the book ‘Undercover‘ by ‘Guardian’ journalist Rob Evans who exposed the secret operations of a police officer who infiltrated Youth Against racism in Europe (YRE)

A public meeting has now been organised to formally launch the campaign – Campaign Opposing Police Surveillance (COPS), to be held on Thursday 27th February 2014 at 6.30pm at the Diskus Conference Centre, Unite House, 128 Theobald’s Road, Holborn, London, WC1X 8TN. Admission is free, but places are limited. Please book by email to cops@haldane.org
