María Barraco is an LLM Human Rights student at Queen Mary University of London. She got her first degree in General Laws from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. She was visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL), and she worked as a lawyer at the Argentinean Human Trafficking Prosecutor Office. She was also Legal Intern at the Human Rights Clinic of the UBA, where she participated in the draft and submission of various Amicus Curiae presented before regional human rights tribunals. Her research interests include human rights, human trafficking, migration, state crimes and the rule of law.
